Closing Times For Speakers Lists: On days when the House sits after 12 noon, the lists of speakers close at 12 noon. On days when the House sits before 12 noon, lists close at 6pm the previous day. Attendance at debates: The guidance in the Companion is that Members should attend the greater part of any debate they are speaking in. If you know in advance that you are unlikely to be able to stay until the end of a debate, you should remove your name from the list of speakers. (Paragraphs 4.40 to 4.42 of the Companion) |
